RIP, Kevin Robinson

Ride in peace, KRob!

I’m completely shocked, like the rest of our world is. Kevin had the biggest heart. He is eager for every day. Like he was a little kid going to a carnival. He is enthusiastic for every step he took. He is the proudest parent, loyal, loving, caring and tough as hell. He is one of a kind. He could have the softest heart, but may kick your ass, but only because he loved you. There is no one as tough and sweet as KRob. I will forever miss you. My heart is broken. I give every bit of love I have to Robin, Shaye, Kevin and Riley. I’m so sorry. I’m crushed. I Love You.

Whether it was a double flair or him being an amazing family man. @krobbmx applied this to every and any situation in his life. He pushed everyone to believe in themselves and make every second count. #RIPkrob

This is heavy. Sometimes I forget my friends are also my heroes. BMX is funny like that. This One is from the @realpropsbmx TV show archives. @stew1201 @condorbmx @catfishvsthug #ripkevinrobinson

Kevin has always had my back whether it was giving me opportunities or lending some wise words while getting through tough times. Grateful for the times we shared… Legends never die. #ripkrob

In 2008 there was an @asaactionsports contest at my college ( @nkuedu ) and at the time I lived on campus. I was able to ride my bike from where I lived to a 14 foot vert ramp. Dream come true for a few days. Anyway the lady organizing things let me ride the ramp but not the contest because I was just getting up to that level. Kevin was livid because of this and started screaming “let Zach ride the Comp,” like someone had just stolen his kid. He said he wouldn’t ride the contest and they could give his spot to me. They declined that offer while he continued making a scene all the way until the contest started. I thought his head was going to pop off. I didn’t get to ride the contest but I was stunned he had my back like that. It’s cool when you grow up looking up to professional athletes and then down the line being able to call them friends and competitors. 2006 Woodward vert gathering. I believe this was @rayschlechtweg bike. ? @junkpalacevintage #kevinrobinson #ripkrob #bmxbrotherhood

If you search the web for photos of my dear friend Kevin Robinson, you’d expect them to be pictures of him riding his BMX bike. I’m not at all surprised to see that about half of them are photos of K-Rob with his wife and children. Kevin was a devoted husband and father who loved his family above all else. Positivity flowed from him in everything he did and I will forever smile at his memory. My thoughts are with his family and friends. ?❤️ #ripkrob #ripkevinrobinson #doubleflair

Dear Kevin, every time you emerged, something remarkable happened. I believe you took your fears and let them push you to new heights, rather than contain you. You will be missed. #ripkrob
